You must:
- be a registered healthcare professional - be at an appropriate point in your training to undertake a PhD - show plans to pursue a research career

The first webinar in a series focused on the recruitment of researchers in both academic and non-academic public sectors. Under the ERA Talent project and its Community of Practice on Recruitment, this event aims to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices in recruitment. For professionals, researchers, and policymakers to come together to address recruitment challenges, exchange insights, and enhance recruitment strategies and services.
Funding: UKRI Metascience AI early career fellowships
UKRI and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The UK Metascience Unit will fund a cohort of early career fellows to build understanding of how the growing adoption of AI is changing the research landscape, including what metascientific, ethical, epistemic, and socioeconomic questions this raises, and how governments, industry, and funding organisations should respond.

Webinar - Incorporating Gender into International Research Proposals
The British Council is working with UKRI to offer a one hour webinar around incorporating gender considerations into international research proposals. To support Research Managers and Project Leaders understand funders' requirements in this area. As well as reviewing the requirements for gender inclusion in applications, they'll also discuss how these are reviewed and offer insights from researchers who have worked on international projects to understand what steps they took to ensure their projects were gender sensitive.

Funding - Royal Society International Exchanges grants
Royal Society International Exchanges grants for scientists based in the UK to stimulate new research collaborations with leading scientists overseas. Grants can cover either a one-off short visit to explore opportunities for building lasting networks or bilateral visits to strengthen emerging collaborations.
Horizon Europe European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) has launched a call for proposals for an EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (EIT KIC) to build a new sustainable innovation partnership to strengthen Europe’s water, marine and maritime sectors and ecosystems. The call for proposals invites consortia of organisations and industry leaders bringing together water-related education, research and business to put forward their vision and strategy for EIT Water.
The Horizon Europe UK National Contact Point for the EIT, Ben Morris, will be delivering a briefing on this initiative on 14th February at 1030-1130 GMT. Registration not required, click on this link to join at the time.
