Ridzuan is currently at Loughborough University researching the use of multimedia tools, particularly motion graphics, for holding design students’ attention. He recently won the People’s Choice award at this year’s Vitae Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition for his presentation 'Goldfish vs. Human'.

AI Innovation Thrives with £37 Million Funding Boost Ahead of UK AI Safety Summit

AI projects spanning fashion, farming, and fire-fighting will receive a significant boost with an additional £37 million in funding, as the UK prepares for the upcoming AI Safety Summit next month. This funding initiative is open to research teams and businesses of all sizes, offering a share of £32 million to implement AI tools that enhance productivity.
In addition, a dedicated £5 million has been allocated for feasibility studies, supporting the innovative AI concepts of 100 small businesses. This funding announcement comes just under three weeks before the highly anticipated UK AI Safety Summit, signifying a strategic investment in AI-driven solutions across diverse sectors.
The European Commission is seeking expressions of interest from individuals in science and diplomacy to participate in working groups. These groups aim to shape a European framework for science diplomacy through collaborative recommendations. Participation is on a voluntary basis, and candidates should meet specific eligibility criteria.
