EURAXESS UK Visas Webinar
Are you a researcher interested in coming to the UK for your career? Join this webinar to learn more about the types of visa available to you.

REA - MSCA Staff Exchanges Information Session & Brokerage Event
The European Research Executive Agency (REA) is organising an online Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges information day. There will be an information session for potential applicants from 10.00 to 12.30 CET. Followed by a brokerage event to help potential partners meet each other, advance registration required.
€99.5 million will be available through Staff Exchanges, to fund around 90 projects promoting cooperation around the globe in research and innovation. Consortia must consist of at least 3 organisations from 3 different countries. Call deadline of 5 February 2025.

DSIT Outline of Budget - Post UK Gov Spending Review
The UK government Department for Science, Innovation and Technology's (DSIT) outline of budget, after the Chancellor announced £20.4 billion in investment for UK research and development sector. With a £520 million commitment to the Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund.
The British Council's call for experts in tech transfer and commercialisation. The British Council seek to engage UK experts with experience in technology transfer and commercialisation in the UK who will share their knowledge and expertise in crafting a policy framework in the Philippines. This project is supported by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology's International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF).
The activities expected to be facilitated by the experts are:
Formulation of the policy framework.
Conducting a conference/consultation to validate the crafted policy framework.

CONNECTS-UK is holding it's 2nd Open Forum, at Cardififf University and online. The topic is “Artificial Intelligence (AI). What does it mean for research, for society and for you”. CONNECTS-UK aim to connect EU researchers, students and academics working in the UK. Free to attend. They will consider contributing to the cost of travel.
Funding - Medical Research Council’s Predoctoral, Postdoctoral or Clinician Scientist Fellowships
Your research can focus on any area of Medical Research Council (MRC)’s remit to improve human health. Applications are welcomed from applicants of all nationalities, including those not currently based in the UK. You will need to be registered with a regulatory body, such as the General Medical Council or the Health and Care Professions Council or have plans in place to hold the required registration by the proposed award start date.
Opportunity for an established independent researcher interested in interdisciplinary research, with an emphasis on science, engineering and the social sciences and humanities. Your research should focus on areas that span the remit of more than one of the Academies involved.
Funding: International Travel Award Scheme for the Biological Sciences
The British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants are available to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. These awards, up to £10,000 in value and 1 to 24 months, are provided to cover the cost of the expenses arising from a defined research project. Open to postdoctoral scholars (or equivalent) who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.
